Krissh : Watchable

I saw Krissh yesterday, and found it verry watchable.

Its sure a sequel of koi mil gaya. But a sequel of a different kind. Its got this tagline:He was born with a gift ... he was special ... like his father.

The first half is just ok. It would have been bad if it wont have certain parts.
Here is the obvious plot. I like the flick more for its second part and a small lil surprise its gotten.
Its amazing how krissh devises a name for himself.

The actors are all gud n apt.

Rekha as hrithiks dadiji as apt. This woman always manages to do her part well.

Priyanka is gud for her character as well. Does her part of acting as well. I dont know why but she kind luks this older priyanka. Her make-up is chalky and uses too much lipstick. Also her legs luk lean and all.

Naseer has always done gr8. I cant think of anyone else in the role of Siddhant Arya.

Hrithik offcourse steals the show. Hrithik as rohit for those few seconds looks much better than as krishna... offcourse the opinion changes once krissh arrives. He look more better than anytime. Hes got this perfect long face,sharp eyes and a physique to match long hair. He strangely has this international kinda look. For his kinda devotion, looks and acting I absolutely think he deservers much better than typical bollywood movies.
One thing he should consider is stop doing this action of raising both his arms as if hes embracing none. I mean it does suit his kind of sculpted body but then he aint gotta do it just anytime na.


There are these ads of bornvita/tide and what not but good thing they are done acceptibly. Both the Dad and Son suffer for being dumb and intelligent respectively.(Another proof of 'too much is too bad). The movie one the whole is not awesome, rather its kinda one u can declare superhit. I m not sure if we want a triology here.

This could have been better:
The love story is kind of wasted. They should/could have shown more of the love v/s duty as in spiderman, and which every normal guy faces at different times.
Towards the end, krissh figting with those chinese like a roller coaster reminds me of mithun'da, also because of the funny kinda background music they play. And Hrithik moving over 2 times faster than 2 bullets is as good as a Rajni(kant) anna's version. Badly unbeleivable. It was not even required. I mean they even show Trinity getting surprised when Neo dodges bullets. And here they show it as if krissh has been doing it since childhood.

Trivia:
The song "Main Hoon Voh Aasman" is "inspired" by score from the game The Dig composed by Michael Land and Richard Wagner.

Misconceptions exist that Krrish is India's first superhero movie .
Several other fantasy movies have been created in the past such as the Amitabh Bachchan starrers 'AJOOBA' and 'TOOFAN' which also have got masked super hero.

The director Shekhar Kapur, who is currently creating a series of comic books drawn from Asian mythology, said in an e-mail interview that Indian viewers would see the film because "Krrish can dance and sing, and Spider-Man cannot, but mostly because Krrish is more rooted in our culture."
